Prelude in C major, BWV 846 (Bach)

Bach’s Prelude in C major, BWV 846, is perhaps one of the most iconic compositions by J. S. Bach, a well-known classic of the piano literature. As the opening of Bach’s masterwork, The Well-Tempered Clavier, the Prelude in C major develops a simple texture of ascending arpeggios that evolve across various keys that eventually reach a dominant pedal point that is resolved into the tonic. In this performance, I improvised a melodic line on top of Bach harmony bringing some new ideas on top of the well-known chord progression.
